Which species can I hunt, and when is the season?
We guide hunts for reindeer, rock ptarmigan, and King Eider. Reindeer hunting runs through the autumn season, ptarmigan through the colder months, and King Eider out on the winter fjords. Seasons shift slightly each year with conditions and quotas, so tell us your travel dates and we will match them to the right species.
Do I need a hunting license or permit in Greenland?
Yes. Hunting in Greenland requires the correct license, and several species are managed under quotas. We guide you through the paperwork as part of your booking and make sure everything is in order before you arrive, so you can focus on the hunt itself.
How many hunters are in a group at a time?

Can I bring my own rifle, or do you provide one?
Bringing a firearm into Greenland requires the correct import permits and advance paperwork, which we help you arrange as part of your booking. If you prefer to travel light, we can provide a suitable rifle and ammunition as a rental, so you arrive ready for the field either way. Tell us your preference early and we will handle the details.
How physically demanding are the hunts?
Our hunts vary in intensity. Ptarmigan and King Eider can suit most fit travelers, while a backcountry reindeer hunt involves long days on foot across uneven, often steep terrain.
