TERMS OF SERVICE
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of services provided by Raw Arctic, a company organized under the laws of Greenland, with its principal place of business at Kissarneqqortuunnguaq 27, 505-3900 Nuuk, Greenland ("Company"). By booking and using our services through our website, the individual or entity ("Customer") agrees to these Terms.
1. Services Provided
Raw Arctic provides travel and experience-based services in the Arctic region, including but not limited to guided tours, accommodations, transportation, and related experiences ("Services").
2. Booking and Payment Terms
2.1 Deposit
- A non-refundable deposit of 10,000 DKK per booking is required for all package tours.
- Failure to pay the deposit within 10 days from the date of booking confirmation may result in cancellation of the booking.
2.2 Remaining Balance
- The remaining balance must be paid no later than 40 days before the scheduled departure date.
- If the balance is not received by the due date, the Company reserves the right to cancel the booking without refund.
2.3 Payment Methods
- Payments can be made securely via credit card, bank transfer, or other available payment methods listed on our website.
- All transactions are processed in DKK, and any applicable currency conversion fees are the responsibility of the Customer.
- Raw Arctic reserves the right to update payment methods at any time.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy3.1 Package Tours
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- Cancellations made less than 40 days before departure will result in forfeiture of the full amount paid.
3.2 Day Tours
- Cancellations made at least 72 hours before departure will be refunded in full.
- Cancellations made less than 72 hours before departure will not be refunded.
3.3 Cancellation by Raw Arctic
- Raw Arctic reserves the right to cancel any tours due to force majeure events or unpredictable weather conditions.
- In such cases, no refunds will be made, and the Customer must ensure full coverage by their travel insurance.
4. Travel Insurance Requirement
- The Customer acknowledges the necessity of obtaining comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and travel disruptions.
- Raw Arctic assumes no liability for any loss, damage, injury, or delays caused by any circumstances, including force majeure or weather-related disruptions.
- The Customer is solely responsible for securing adequate travel insurance to cover all potential risks.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- The Customer must comply with all safety guidelines, travel regulations, and local laws while using the Services.
- The Customer is responsible for ensuring they meet all travel and health requirements, including passports, visas, and vaccinations where applicable.
- The Customer agrees to respect the environment and local communities while participating in the experiences offered.
6. Liability Disclaimer
- Raw Arctic shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or delays caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, or force majeure events.
- The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Raw Arctic harmless from any claims arising from their participation in the Services.
7. Termination
- Raw Arctic may refuse service or cancel any booking if the Customer fails to adhere to these Terms.
8. Governing Law
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greenland, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
9. Amendments
- Raw Arctic reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Customers will be notified of any significant changes before their booking takes place.
10. Severability
- If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
11. Notices
- All notices required or permitted under these Terms shall be in writing and delivered to the parties at their respective addresses.
12. Minimum Participant Requirement & Operator-Initiated Cancellations
Minimum Group Size
- Each tour requires a minimum number of 3 participants to proceed safely and economically.
Right to Postpone or Cancel
- If the minimum number is not met no later than one 6 hours before the scheduled departure (unless otherwise stated), Raw Arctic reserves the right to:
- reschedule the tour to a different date or departure time, or
- cancel the tour in its entirety.
Your Options When a Tour Is Rescheduled
- When a tour is moved, you may choose to:
- accept the new date/departure time, or
- cancel your reservation free of charge.
Refunds for Operator Cancellations
- If Raw Arctic cancels a tour, 100 % of the amount paid for the tour will be refunded.
- The refund covers the tour price only and does not include any personal expenses such as flights, accommodation, or other arrangements booked independently by the customer.
Limitation of Liability
- Raw Arctic is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from a change or cancellation, including but not limited to lost income, change fees for transport or accommodation, or other related expenses.
Notification Method
- All notices of changes or cancellations will be sent to the e-mail address and/or phone number provided at the time of booking. Customers are responsible for ensuring their contact details are accurate and up to date.
This clause operates in addition to the sections on force majeure and safety found in Raw Arctic’s general Terms & Conditions.

By booking and using our Services, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
