This hunt is built around three days in a remote camp deep in Nuuk Fjord, tracking reindeer on foot across tundra, ridges, and lake country. Local guides lead the way and know where the herd tends to move with the season and the weather.
The camp is simple, with no power and no fixed schedule, and enclosed boat transfers carry you between Nuuk and camp. What each day looks like depends on the weather and where the animals are, so the plan stays flexible.

Our itinerary is designed to align with U.S. flight schedules, ensuring that our hunters spend the optimal amount of time in Greenland. Neither too short nor too long.
Each hunt begins from our base camp, located deep in Nuuk Fjord’s pristine wilderness. Depending on the location of the reindeer and conditions that day, we either set out on foot directly from camp or use the boat to access nearby valleys and ridgelines. The boat is a flexible tool - useful when we need to cover more ground or scout from the water - but it's not always necessary.
Once a suitable area is identified, the stalk continues on foot. We keep hiking distances manageable, focusing on a comfortable pace and ethical shooting distances. The terrain is typically a mix of gentle tundra, open valleys, and rolling hills - challenging enough to feel like a true backcountry adventure, but accessible for most.
Scouting and patience are key elements of the experience. Whether from a boat or a ridgeline, much of the hunt is spent observing the landscape, reading signs, and waiting for the right opportunity.
The reindeer hunt in Nuuk Fjord is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for a wide range of physical abilities. The terrain consists mainly of gentle tundra, rolling hills, and open valleys, making it relatively easy to navigate compared to more mountainous regions.
Whenever possible, we use boats to reduce hiking distances and access remote hunting areas efficiently. In many cases, parts of the hunt involve scouting from an open boat, which helps conserve energy and keeps the overall effort manageable.
Most importantly, we tailor the pace and approach of the hunt to each guest's physical condition and comfort level. Whether you’re an experienced backcountry hunter or prefer a slower, more relaxed pace, we adapt the experience to ensure it remains both rewarding and within your limits.
